What to expect at your first visit

1
When you come in for your initial consultation, we’ll sit down and talk with you about your health history and your current situation—particularly when it comes to physical pain. Completing our online new patient intake form will help us and save you time on your first visit. Complete the online new patient intake form here.

Then we’ll conduct a standard physical and neurological exam. We’ll test your range of motion, muscle strength, and perhaps even your reflexes. We’ll also go beyond what most chiropractors look at and also examine your shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, ankles and feet. (Learn more about extremity care)
If we feel x-rays are needed in your case, then we’ll go ahead and do them at this time as well.

After the exam is complete, we’ll discuss our findings, then give you a realistic view of what we can do for you. In most cases, we can solve the root causes of pain and give total or near-total pain relief. In other cases, we can’t undo years of untreated problems, though most of the time we can deliver significant improvement.

We’ll also talk about what your future treatment schedule will look like. Rest assured, we won’t force you into a contract or make you agree to a treatment schedule that stretches into next year. In most cases, we’ll make plans for the first month or so, then talk with you at the end of that period to re-evaluate and discuss what you’d like to do next.
